Ask any affiliate manager: The average affiliate earns
little or nothing per month. In fact, my guess is that 80%
or more people who sign up as affiliates *never* get a
check.
That's the part nobody tells you.
On the other hand, there are some of us who are earning
tens of thousands each year in affiliate commissions.
And it's not as hard as you might think. (I like the way my
friend Chuck McCullough puts it: "It's not ditch diggin'
hard, but it's not 'point-n-click' easy either.")
If you want to make a significant--or even full-time--
income from affiliate programs, you need to complete the
following tasks:
1. Identify a workable market niche.
2. Locate solid affiliate programs to offer that niche.
3. Build a site and newsletter with high-quality
information tied to that niche.
4. Get your targeted visitors to the site and signed up for
your newsletter.
5. Send your visitors with open and receptive minds to the
affiliate sites you represent, ready to buy.
If you do these five things over and over again, you will
see more and more affiliate sales.
This is what Chuck does. Chuck is one of my top affiliates.
He has created a system where people are regularly visiting
his site, then my site then buying. He makes dozens of sales
every month and moves thousands of dollars in products.
